Your safety is important to us — in the classroom, on our campus and in the surrounding community.
Agnes Scott College educates women to think deeply, live honorably and engage the intellectual and social challenges of their times.
In that mission, the college is also deeply committed to the values of justice, equity, diversity, and inclusion. Safety on our campus and in the community is a responsibility that we all share, and the Public Safety team stands in solidarity with all of Agnes Scott in creating a welcoming, nurturing, just and secure environment
As part of our commitment to social and procedural justice, we also maintain positive working partnerships across campus and with our area law enforcement and emergency services. This ongoing collaboration brings valuable safety support to our campus and provides access to important resources for any campus investigations.
Together with our local City of Decatur police and fire department teams and community partners, we can ensure a safe and inclusive campus for all members of the Agnes Scott community.
Our Commitment to Our Community
In service to your safety and well-being, we believe strongly in providing state-of-the-art resources and training to all public safety personnel. Our campus officers are highly skilled and professionally certified through the Georgia Peace Officers Standards and Training Council.
You will see our certified officers actively monitoring campus and the surrounding area 24 hours a day, seven days a week, by vehicle, bike and foot. Our officers are here to provide assistance and information while acting as first responders to any urgent campus situations that arise.
