The Clinical Nurse Leader (CNL) program is an accelerated nursing master's degree. This 16-month program builds on the strong foundation of your Agnes Scott degree and the leadership skills you developed throughout SUMMIT.
You can apply for early acceptance to Augusta University's Master of Science in Nursing program in the fall semester of your senior year. Once you're accepted, you'll be eligible for many special visits and learning opportunities throughout your senior year.
What is a Clinical Nurse Leader (CNL)?
A CNL is a master's educated nurse focused on improving patient outcomes and the quality of care across all health care settings. CNLs collaborate with other clinicians to create and implement care plans and evaluate outcomes for patients.

Requirements for Admission:
- Completion of an Agnes Scott College B.A. or B.S. degree
- A minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0
- A minimum grade of "C" in all required prerequisite courses
- Three letters of recommendation
- Current resume or CV
- Official transcripts
Prerequisite Courses:
Agnes Scott students can complete any major along with the following prerequisite courses:
- BIO 201 *(requires BIO 110 with lab and BIO 111 with lab)
- BIO 222 & BIO 223
- CHE 110 with lab
- PSY 101 & PSY 102
- PSY 200
- MAT 115 OR PSY 206
How to Apply:
Current Agnes Scott students who qualify for the early acceptance CNL program may apply directly to Augusta University's College of Nursing by using the Nursing Centralized Application Service (NursingCAS). Upon graduating from Agnes Scott, accepted students will begin their 16-month program In Augusta.
